The Expected Virtue of Insignificance

The Expected Virtue of Insignificance

I am nobody

I am somebody

Who are they?

These lives lurking?

Outside

Like insects swarming

Over the dead

And I’m stuck

On the heavenly

Inside?

They come closer

Knocking down walls

Would they hurt?

Would filthy words

Kill?

Would too much

Be said today

In one word

Just for unwarranted

Thrill?
