Inside a Broken Mountain’s Heart

I am a lone drop on a blank page

Under the clouds’ warm gaze

Dissolving lonely words into a haze

I Fall on to the flower for a hug

My broken bird sings a tune

And in a single breath

This heart has escaped death

I celebrate the pounding of my chest

And across the broken pebbles

The ones rolling down to the river floor

The ones constantly biting my shoe soles

I sigh at the voices ahead

I walk through mountains heart

It’s anger paving our way

Through the rumble I hear you say

“I’m right behind you”
